THE STILL FORMULA NOTES

A label is a beginning. Understanding what each ingredient is there to do is the useful part. These notes explain the roles in our imagined formulas, in everyday language.

A.01Humectant
The moisture keeper

Glycerin

Humectants attract water. In these concept formulas, glycerin helps give water-based products their comfortable, moisturising feel. It is part of all three essentials, with a different texture around it each time.

One familiar ingredient, three uses: slip in the cleanser, a light moisture layer in the serum, and comfortable hydration in the cream.

A.02Cleansing agent
The gentle beginning

Coco-glucoside

A surfactant helps water mix with the oils and everyday residue on skin, so they can rinse away. Coco-glucoside is the cleansing ingredient around which we have imagined Soft start’s low-foam gel.

Foam is a texture preference, not a measure of how thoroughly you have cleaned. A light massage and a careful rinse are enough for this simple step.

A.03Humectant
The light layer

Sodium hyaluronate

A salt form of hyaluronic acid, used in water-based skincare to help hold moisture. It gives Water study its place as an optional hydration layer between cleanser and moisturiser.

This is a surface skincare ingredient. Our concept makes no claims about changing deeper skin structures or producing clinical results.

A.04Emollient
The soft finish

Squalane

Emollients help skin feel softer and smoother. Squalane is an oil-like ingredient that gives Daily ground some of its easy spread and comfortable finish, alongside the water-loving ingredients in the formula.

Humectants and emollients have different jobs. A cream can bring both together, which is why it remains the final step in each of our suggested routines.

THE WHOLE PICTURE

A formula is
more than its headline.

Water gives a formula its base. Preservatives help a water-based product remain usable. Ingredients that adjust texture and pH help the whole formula work together. A short list is not a promise that a product will suit everyone.

We show the complete illustrative ingredient list on every product page, alongside the purpose, texture and way to use it. These are fictional product concepts, with no clinical results or certifications claimed.
